Hey everyone! I apologize for being in the dark for a month, but the good news about that is that I’ve been working on the site. As of right now, the designs have been finalized and production will begin in about 2 weeks. The designs are updates of what you see in my previous post, with some much needed aesthetic enhancements and better layout & functionality. I’m not going to post the finalized designs though; that will have to be a suprise. 
However, I will post the final logo. I worked out a logo for the church, which doubled as a class project. I will post that here so I can get some feedback from you. Please give me any feedback, both good and bad. I want to design something that pleases the church body, and it’s by no means set in concrete right now. So please send your critiques my way!

I thought that I would check in and show you guys what I’ve been up to. I’m almost done with the conceptual developments for the layout of the site. I have compositions done for the splash page, and the main pages for the ‘main’ & ‘youth’ pages. Here they are as of today:

I am still making some adjustments to the layouts, and refining the design. The content of the video player I lifted from my church’s website, but at least it gives the idea of where I want this site to go.

I’ve been working on the new site lately, and I thought I would share a preview of some of the work:
The ’splah’ page, shown here will be built in Flash, and will feature the logo of the church, with a collection off the recent news and events on the front screen. To access the main pages (main & youth) you click on one of the bars and drag it across the screen to access the pages. If anyone has any feedback, or would like to see some more images, feel free to drop me a line.

My name’s Matt Aebersold, and I’m a long time friend of Pastor Marcus. I’m living in Seattle and attending the Art Institute of Seattle, majoring in Web Design & Interactive Media. Because of my knowledge and skills regarding web design, Marcus approached me and asked me to develop a new website for your church. I gladly accepted and am currently developing a brand new site, which will be up soon. (hopefully!) I just wanted to address you and tell you that I am honored to take on this job, and I will put out my best efforts to serve your church and Jesus Christ. So keep checking back to this temporary blog, as your pastors will be posting information here in the mean time, while the main site is under development.
